1952 Novices Rally

The first annual Novices Rally was organised by the Victorian Sporting Car Club and ran on Sunday September 7th. As the name suggests, the event was intended as a gentle introduction to rallying.

78 entries were received of which 73 started and 64 finished. Five crews cleaned the event but placings were determined by times on a sub-event, with J. Warner and navigator Bill Shrugg emerging victors in an MG TD.

A full report appeared in Australian Motor Sports.
