The SHepparton Car Club conducted a 12 hour reliability trial over 330 miles on October 25.
Winners were Robert and Kenneth Orrman in a Peugeot 203, who had recently finished 27th outright in the 1953 REDeX Trial.

As the article says, the route included Tungamah, Mulwala, Corowa, Albury (rest), Kiewa Valley, Whitfield, Benalla and the finish at Shepparton.
