The 1964 Akademos Trial was directed by Geoff Sproat and ran in West and South Gippsland. It was convincingly won by Bob Watson and Jim McAuliffe in a Holden with a loss of 62 points, less than half of the second placed Holden of Bob McInnes and Peter Haas.
