1964 Begonia Trial

The exact date of the 1964 Begonia Trial is not known but it was probably in March in conjunction with the Ballarat Begonia Festival.

1964 LCCA (Ballarat) Begonia Trial – VTC Round 1?

According to the report in Australian Motor Sport, the 1964 Begonia was directed by Owen Lawrence and ran in a wide area around Ballarat. From the report it seems that the navigation was quite tricky in places.

Jack Ellis emerged victorious in his Falcon, navigated by local Frank Guymer. Laurie Graham and Ian Inglis were second in a VW, something of an achievement for Inglis who was noted as being the only non-local navigator to gain a top place.
