1965 George Derrick Memorial Trial

The 1965 Derrick was held on October 9.

Watson/McAuliffe win CCRMIT George Derrick Memorial Trial

The 1965 Derrick was again directed by Tom Cox for the CCRMIT, and he headed further south than the previous year, with the break at Anglesea. Described as “straightforward”, victory went to the Holden of Bob Watson and Jim McAuliffe.
For some reason this year’s Derrick was not a round of the VTC so the factory Ford team only entered one car, a Falcon for Ken Harper and Mike Flanagan who placed fourth.
