1965 Midnight Trial

The Midnight Trial,  organised by the Victorian Sporting Car Club, was held on June 19.

Although not a championship event, the Midnight Trial attracted some factory entries and experienced crews. While generally considered an easy event, some tricky navigation perhaps spoilt the event.

The event was won by Doug Rutherford and Frank Kilfoyle in an Anglia. The Holden Trials Team had some problems with Watson’s car suffering a rear shock absorber mounting and the Roberts/Haas Viva a leaking differential, although both finished the event.
