VTC Round 4 – 1967 Experts Trial
The reigning champions, Tony Roberts and Peter Haas, showed their expertise to win the 1967 Experts Trial after a disappointing result in the previous year’s Experts.
Described as a “navigator’s event”, the Experts ran from Geelong to Colac via the northern Otways then down to Apollo Bay and back to Geelong. Roads were generally good and time fast, but the navigation on survey maps required careful plotting with checkpoints easily missed.
