The Beepac Rally, organised by the BP Automobile Club, was held in September.
According to the Auto Action article, the event was conducted in the areas generally south of Ballarat including Anakie, Rokewood, Dereel and Steiglitz. The event was won by Kevin Mitchell and Robert Frost in a Ford Cortina.
