1974 Honda Scamper

The Honda Scamper, organised by the Honda Car Club, was held on 6 July.

Directed by Tom Latta, starters assembled in Healesville with the first car leaving at 5pm. The event comprised two divisions of approximately 100km each, with a refuel break between divisions and a barbeque at the finish.

The entry fee was $5 for entries by 1 July and $6 thereafter. Competitors had to be members of one of the following clubs: Honda Car Club, Fiat Car Club, Melbourne University Car Club, Ford Four Car Club or the VADC. This announcement appeared in Unicar Magazine.

According to the Auto Action report, the event was won by John Freeman and John Bradford in a Volvo 142 GL, just ahead of Ken Stone and Ian Baldock in a Cortina 2000.
