The Intervarsity Trial, organised by the Melbourne University Car Club, was held on August 17. Directed by George Davidson, the event ran in the Powelltown area. There were 36 entries.
The rally was part of the Intervarsity weekend of competition between the various university clubs. There was also a hillclimb (at Lakeland) and a motorkhana (at Berwick).
