The STP Pathfinder Trial, organised by the Philip Island Auto Racing Club, was held on September 7.
The event was directed by Allan Cashin and ran in the Heathcote area, finishing at Pyalong. The conditions were difficult and only 20 of the 36 starters reached the finish. Winners were Rob Dyer and Graham Wallis in their Peugeot 404. The Auto Action report appears below.
