The Shamateur One, organised by the Light Car Club of Australia, was held on 2 February.
Directed by Ian Richards, the event was a closed to club rally designed for average club members and not requiring any special vehicle modifications. The Supp Regs (below) indicate that it was essentially a daylight special stage event. According to the results sheet (below) there was some form of handicapping applied to more experienced crews.
