The second tier state series for Grade 3 crews was won by Doug Irish and Ian Ellis, closely followed by Garry Spence and Noel Kelly, both crews with two wins apiece.

There may not have been much in the way of regulations for the series as it piggybacked onto the VRC. Points were scored for the first six places, as per the VRC, 9-6-4-3-2-1.
