The Winter Trial was held on June 19.

TAUCC Series Round 5 – 1976 MUCC Winter Trial

The 1976 Winter Trial was directed by Simon Crane for the Melbourne University Car Club. It was convincingly won by a new up and coming driver, Hugh Bell, navigated on this rare occasion by Simon Brown. Another up and coming driver finished equal second – Geoff Portman, navigated by his father Allan, together with a young and up and coming navigator, Ross Runnalls, with Haydn West.
