The CCRMIT Presidents Trial was held on 9 December.
The “Presidents Trial” was a commonly used name for trials – in 1978, there were three “Presidents Trials” on the rally calendar. The others were organised by SEAC on 10 June and WDCC on 11 November.
The CCRMIT Presidents Trial has a long history dating back to 1957. During the 1970s it developed into an open drivers event that was often the last event of the season.
The winners this year were John White and John Williams in a Lancer.
