The Shamateur II Trial, organised by the Light Car Club of Australia, was held on April 29.
Shamateur Trails (a combination of shambles and amateur) were always low key semi-social events designed for novice crews. It was not uncommon to find husband and wife crews, or experienced navigators driving or vice versa.
