The Summer Safari, organised by the Peugeot Car Club of Victoria, was held on 9 February. It was Round 1 of the Combine 6 Series.
The winners were Ian Boyd & Trevor Boyd with Rob Dyer and Graham Wallis second, both grade 2 crews. Third was the grade 3 crew of Pete de Vaus and Brian Amey. First grade 4 were Ron Ford and John Walsh. Bill Bennett and Stuart Lister competed and their score would have put them in 2nd place except they were ineligible for official results as they were a grade 1 crew.
