The Experts, organised by the Light Car Club of Australia, was traditionally the most difficult navigational trial/rally held in Victoria each year. This year’s was to be no exception, with Director, Noel Kelly, planning to use a lot of shortest mapped route sections.
The 1981 Experts Trial was to be Round 4 of the Victorian Trials Series. Wet weather initially caused the event to be postponed from May 9 to June 27 but ultimately the event had to be cancelled.
