The Sprint Rally, organised by the Melbourne University Car Club, was held on 21 February.
The event was a single stage, using Diggers Gully and McMahons Rds, in the Mt Disappointment State Forest. Competitors traversed the stage once in each direction.
While not in the rally calendar as TAUCC series round, the results show TAUCC scores. The winners were Chris and Simon Brown in a Datsun 180B, 3 seconds ahead of Rob Devenish and Helen Eastwood in a Datsun 1600, with Dave Sheridan and Peter Gale a further 4 seconds back in third.
