The No. 1 Trial, organised by GMSC, was held on 3 July. It was Round 4 of the Western Region Rally Championship.
The winners were Hartnell/Brazier on 48 points with Cutler/Markham 2nd on 52 points and Wallis/Wallis third with 64 points. Wallis/Wallis were also 1st grade B competitor.
