Overall results

Stage by stage results

Note that the Groups allocated to each crew in the results of this event aren’t the grades by which competitors were classified. The highest rated crew members in the state, “State Classified”, are often referred to as Grade 1, Grade 2 are the “State Recognised” crew members, Grade 3 are “Clubman” and Grade 4 are Novice. These classifications were not used to determine the “Group” in the Begonia although they were used in all other VRC events in 1984. The results table above has crew members in what we believe are their correct grades. Note that lower level competitors are eligible for points in higher grades but higher level competitors aren’t eligible for points in lower grades.
