Series Regulations

These were specified in VTC Standing Regulations, assumed to be the same as the previous year (VTC Standing Regulations).

The 1987 VTC was made up a variety of events comprising varying degrees of navigation.

Awards were made for outright champions, State Recognised (previously Grade 2, Grade 3 also assumed to be eligible), Clubman (Grades 3 and 4 only), and first Production Rally Car crew.

Consistent with the the VRC, in each division points were allocated 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1 for first to tenth with all four results to count.
