The Historic Alpine, organised by the HRA, was held on 28 & 29 March.
The event was won by Rob Dyer and John Hardy.
This was one of the very first events run by the newly formed Historic Rally Association. The Light Car Club was the organiser of the ARC/VRC event and this Historic Alpine was run in conjunction with the main event.
The event consisted of competition as a tour, seven stages from the Alpine itself, a night rally in the Barambogie Forest, an economy run and motorkhana. So a very full weekend.
It was a continuation of the concept of the 1991 Historic Alpine organized by Bob Watson.
