The Goldfields Historic Rally, organised by the Historic Rally Association, was directed by Graham Wallis and held on 24-25 July.
We don’t yet have results so don’t know who the winners were.
The event was a combined rally, motorkhana and economy run. Competitors started the first day in Bendigo and headed to the Bendigo Light Care Club property at Bagshot for lunch. The day included both timed rally sections and untimed navigational sections and finished mid-evening for dinner at the Cumberland Hotel in Bendigo.
The next day started with a navigational section using mostly the highway to Kyneton. There, competitors doing only the Sunday component joined for a motorkhana then an economy run to Maryborough for lunch. The afternoon comprised navigational sections to Ballarat and a driving test at the Ballarat airport, with the event concluding at the Ballarat Light Car Club’s rooms.
