The William Harvey Memorial Trial, organised by the Peugeot Car Club of Victoria, was held on 3 April.
Director Phil Nicholas designed a format to avoid the typical trial finish near dawn the next morning – conduct half of the event as an untimed Touring Assembly during daylight hours and run a typical timed Trial at night, planned to finish by midnight. The event was open to members of PCCV, BCC, BLCC, HDCC, GMSC & HRA and was round 1 of both the Victorian Trials Series and the Western Regions Trial Series.
The Touring Assembly ran from Bacchus Marsh to Creswick and the trial stages were in the forests generally north of Creswick, with the finish at the Farmers Arms Hotel in Creswick.
Documentation below. Note that car numbering may be confusing, as the same car didn’t necessarily have the same number for the Touring Assembly and the Trial.
