The Akademos was conducted by the Melbourne University Car Club and was held on May 1. The Director was Natasha Swan. The event was pace-noted with recce on the Saturday.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 2
Following their second place in Round 1, reigning champions Peter and Chris Montgomery swept to victory in the Akademos to take a handy points lead in this year’s championship chase. Justin Dowel and Matt Lee opened their points account with a second place, while first round winners, Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis could only manage fourth.
