The East Gippsland Stages was conducted by the Melbourne University Car Club and was held on May 10. Directed by Glen McAliece, the event was a blind rally conducted in both daylight and at night.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 2
The event was convincingly won by Jesse and Samantha Robison in a Subaru Impreza WRX, more than 2 minutes clear of second placed Ivan Regester and Paul Humm in a Subaru Legacy RS.
2WD honours went to Leigh and Ken Garrioch in Mitsubishi Mirage with an excellent fourth place outright.
