2011 Rally Victoria

The 2011 Rally Victoria was organised by the Cerberus Car Club and was conducted on Friday and Saturday November 11 and 12. It was the second edition of Rally Victoria organised by the club.

Conducted over the Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, Rally Victoria was a pace noted event held around the forests of Powelltown with the base and service park at Lardner Park south of Drouin where the super special stage was located. Only Saturday’s competition constituted the VRC round.

The ARC round was won by Simon and Sue Evans in a Subaru Impreza WRX, winning both heats. Taking out the national title were Justin Dowel and Matt Lee in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, with a third in Heat 1 and second in Heat 2. 

The VRC Round was won by Warren Lee and David Lethlean in a Lancer Evo IX with a fifth Heat 1 and a win on Heat 2. Heat 1 was won by Derek Reynolds and Ray Baker in a Lancer Evo V, but they failed to finish Heat 2.

Route

The ARC event commenced on Friday afternoon with two forest stages repeated, then two runs over the Lardner Park super special stage, a total of six stages comprising Heat 1 of the ARC round. Heat 2 of the ARC round was conducted on Saturday and comprised four stages repeated with a midday service back at Lardner Park. The event was rounded out with another run over the super special stage at Lardner Park.

The VRC round was only on Saturday with the four forest stages repeated for each heat and the final Super Special rounding out Heat 2.
