The Kings Cars Begonia Rally, organised by the Ballarat Light Car Club, was held on March 10.

It was good to see the Begonia return to the VRC after a few years’ absence. John Roberts directed the event which was held in the forests south of Daylesford.
The overall winner of the VRC round was three time VRC champion Justin Dowell with Scott Spedding calling the turns in the Lancer Evo 9. They also won Heat 1 but were pipped by six seconds on Heat 2 by Stephen and Glen Raymond in their Corolla.
The VCRS round went to Rob Parry and Leigh Garrioch in a Datsun 1600.
