The 2016 Border Oils & Batteries Mitta Mountain Rally was held on May 14 and was organised by the North Eastern Car Club in conjunction with the Albury Wodonga and District Car Club. As the first Mitta Mountain Rally, the event represented a a new challenge for competitors in country that had been largely unused by rallies for several decades. The event was a blind rally. Clerk of Course was Ross Runnalls.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 2
It was a another dominant performance by Darren Windus and Joe Brkic, taking full championship points in both heats.
