2022 Marysville Stages / Camcrusher Regularity Rally

The Sheen Panel Service Ringwood Marysville Stages, organised by the Ford Four Car Club, was held on May 7.

Victorian Rally Championship Round 3
Victorian Club Rally Series Round 3

The VRC event was a blind rally (no recce, no pace notes). It was convincingly won in wet and challenging conditions by Adrian Stratford and Kain Manning in a Subaru Impreza WRX, including both heat wins. Like many crews, they struggled with the conditions, especially fog and misted windscreens reducing visibility.  On Heat 1 they were more than a minute clear of Queenslanders, Richard Galley and Claire Buccini in an Evo 8, with Warren Lee and David Lethlean taking second VRC points in an Evo 9. Galley dropped to fourth on Heat 2 and Lee to 6th with Glen Raymond and Kate Catford (normally aspirated Subaru) storming into second, more than 3 minutes behind Stratford and Manning, with Luke Sytema and Tracey Dewhurst (Escort) third and first 2WD on both heats.

Kevin Millard and Andrew Daniell (Datsun 1600) were again best Clubman on both heats, while Thomas West and Stephen Dunbar (Excel) were again best Novices.

The VCRS event was won by James and Mark Leoncino in a Toyota Corolla AE71.
