The Eastern Trial, organised by the Victorian Sporting Car Club, was probably held in November. Directors were Maurie Monk and Paul McCutcheon.
It was held on a fine sunny Sunday and followed a traditional route through the Dandenongs and beyond.
Equal winners on points were Bob Foreman (MG Y Tourer) and Nan and Don Thomson (Javelin), both with cleansheets. The MG was quicker on the sub-event, a standing quarter mile, so Foreman was declared winner.
