1958 Otway Trial

The Otway Trial, organised by the Western District Car Club and directed by Messrs. W. Miles and G. Little, was held on July 19-20.

The winner of the two-day event was M. Coster in a VW, navigator not stated, with a loss of 9 points.

Route

The annual two-day Otway Trial followed a familiar format with starts in Geelong, Ballarat, Skipton and Mildura, converging in the northern Otways before heading to Apollo Bay for an overnight stop. The SUnday run included Dreeite and Corangamite to Beeac, then Foxbow, Dereeel, Bamgaine and Bannockburn to the finish at Stonehaven.
