1969 Australian Rally Championship

The second Australian Rally Championship was conducted over five events in four states. Most competitors were from NSW and Victoria although South Australians and Queenslanders featured prominently in their respective state rounds.

Winners were Frank Kilfoyle and Doug Rutherford in a similar Cortina that the winning car from the previous year. Ford won the Manufacturers Award

Series Regulations

Events were run under the National Rally Code.

Vehicle eligibility was CAMS Group C – Australian Touring Cars, with additional requirements as per the NRC and state addenda.

Points were awarded down to sixth: 9-6-4-3-2-1, with the  best four out of five results to count.

A Manufacturers Award was introduced.
