The Meadow Lee Valkyrian Trial, organised by the VW Car Club, was held on July 13.
The event was conducted in the Strzelecki Ranges in wet and slippery conditions with several cars leaving the road. Kevin Harrison and Ian Baldock were lucky to avoid injury when their Hillman Gazelle rolled well off the road.
Equal winners were J. King and George Jacbson in a Ford Cortina and G. Batty with Frank Trouw in a Mitsubishi Galant.
