1974 Victorian Rally Championship

The 1974 VRC was won by Garry Harrowfield and Geoff Boyd, after taking four wins from the first five events in their Schweppes sponsored Mark II Cortina.

The 1974 VRC was the first time that a special stage event was included, the RACV 500 Gippsland Rally.

Series Regulations

There were no specific restrictions on the kinds of events that could be rounds of the VRC. All events except the RACV 500 were timed to the minute, but there were virtually no tied placings.

Only the outright award was given. Points were allocated 9-6-4-3-2-1 for first to sixth with the best six of eight results to count.
