The Goldfields Rally, organised by the Renault Car Club of Victoria, was held on 26 June 1976.
This third running of the Goldfields Rally was again directed by Warwick Smith. As was its tradition, this fully route charted event used the tight tracks in the forests around Dunolly with just as much work for the navigator as the for the driver.
The event was won by Peter Stapleton and Geoff O’Donnell.
