This was the first of three Summer Stages organised by the Ballarat Light Car Club and directed by Ross Runnalls. It was held on February 28th as a club event but attracted a strong field including a number of Grade 1 drivers.
The event was conducted in the Scarsdale forests and in the dirt circuit and adjacent forests of the BLCC clubrooms at Haddon. Ostensibly the director’s goal was the explore the possibilities for daylight special stage rallies in the Ballarat area.
The winners were David Hodge and Warwick Smith.
