The Cooper Memorial, sponsored by Rally Motors of Geelong and organised by the Western District Car Club, was held on 18 September. It was Round 5 of the Western Region Rally Championship.
The winners were Rob Willet & Bernard Lakerink on 17 points with D Chestnut & K Baxter 2nd on 20 points and K Hartnell & M Brasier third on 21. First grade B were S Gough & R Virgo.
