The North Eastern Rally, organised by the North Eastern Car Club, was held on August 28.
1982 VRC Round 6 – NECC North Eastern Rally
The 1982 North Eastern saw many fancied and classified crew strike problems, with the podium filled with Grade 2 and Grade 3 crews. It was a great result for Graeme Wise and John Williams who finished 40 seconds clear of Clubman crew, Brian Smith and Peter Mignot. Steve Ashton and Ro Nixon completed the podium. The first classified crew was fourth placed Chris Brown / Noel Richards who consolidated their championship lead.
