The Alpine, sponsored by Enka-Fill and organised by the Light Car Club of Australia, was held on 19/20 November. It was Victoria’s round of the Australian Rally Championship for this year.
Winners were Ian Hill and Phil Bonser in a Ford Escort with Hugh Bell and Paul Paterson a close second. However, Ross Dunkerton was able to secure the Australian Championship by finishing 11th outright and first Group A in a Commodore.
