1984 Akademos Rally

The Akademos, organised by the Melbourne University Car Club, was held on 26 May.

1984 VRC Round 4 – MUCC Akademos

Akademos was won by Peter “Pud” Thompson and Simon Scott in a Datsun 1600. Second were Humphrey Enter and John Wardell in a Triumph 2000 and third Ian Thorp and Helen Wylie in a Datsun 1600.

The event started with 5 stages in the “non traditional” Akademos Kangaroo Swamp area to the south of Sale before some afternoon stages near Briagalong. Seven night stages were held in the traditional Akedemos area north of Bairnsdale.
