The Rent-a-Wreck Stages, formerly the Camcrusher Rally, organised by the Ford Four Car Club, was held on May 11.

1985 VRC Round 3 – FFCC Rent-a-Wreck Stages

The third round of the VRC saw the return of the reigning champion, Pud Thompson, navigated by Jim Maude in a new Stanza. The shortended event was hotly contested with Thompson/Maude winning by just 16 seconds from David Jones and Peter Curtain in the Commodore. A fourth place by Phil Horan and Suzi Wiseman lifted them to the lead in the championship.
