1985 Summer Safari

The Summer Safari, organised by the Peugeot Car Club of Victoria, was held on 7 and 8 December.

A small but enthusiastic field enjoyed a a safari style event over two days and three divisions, complete with flooded creeks and unmanned controls due to the officials being simply unable to pass through the flooded forests. Memories prevail of Jim Maude wading one creek before Lindsay followed in the 180B.

The thoroughly enjoyable event was won by Lindsay Dale and Jim Maude. Murray Mackenzie and Geoff Byron were second followed by Stuart and Helen Lister.

The other point to note from the table of results below is that no model of vehicle is repeated and there are no Datsun 1600s represented!
