The Akademos Rally, organised by the Melbourne University Car Club and directed by Darryl Otzen, was held on May 26.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 3
John Reynolds and David Boyce emerged as winners in their Mazda 323 4WD, but less than a minute separated the top four. Second was the Commodore of Allan Johnson and Jim Maude, also picking up maximum points for first in the Clubman category, and keeping their championship hopes alive. David Greig and Paul Tirant finished third to maintain their championship lead.
