1994 NEP Alpine Rally

The N.E.P. Alpine Rally, organised by the Albury & Wodonga District Car Club, was held on 26 March.

Australian Rally Championship (Coefficient 5)

The winners were Graeme Wise and Helen Wylie in a Ford Sierra V6 4×4. Simon Evans and Sue Brick were second and Peter Evans (Simon’s father) and Rob Beekman third, both crews in Nissan Pulsar GTi-R 4WD turbos. Although listed as an ARC round, there were no non Victorians in the results.

Route

The event was conducted over 13 special stages, starting with the short Wodonga Stock route and finishing with a short blast through Noreuil Park in Albury. The remaining stages constituted the majority of the distance and were in the plantations around Beechworth, Myrtleford and Bright.
