The Nightstalker, organised by the Castlemaine Car Club, was held on 27 November, taking over the date from the cancelled Rising Sun Rally. It was originally calendared for 5 November.
The Nightstalker was round 6 of the Western Region Trials Series, round 3 of the Victorian Trials Series and included an Historic car class. Directed by John Wilkinson, it was held in forests near Castlemaine.
