It was two wins in a row by Graeme Wise and Rob Beekman in their Lancer to all but seal this year’s VRC, made all the more certain when both the North Eastern and Rising Sun were cancelled. The up and coming Simon Evans placed second, but the gap of almost 7 minutes suggested that the results were not close. But a mere 27 seconds separated third from eighth!
A fine tenth outright and first Novice by Paul Mahony and Rod Greenwood took them into equal lead for the Novice Award.
