The Rivertown Trial, organised by the Cerberus Car Club and sponsored by Motormasters, was held on 25 May.
The event was round 3 of the VCRS although the event documentation says “Round 4” (the intended round 1, the TCV Trial, was cancelled). The winners were David Smart and Geoff Floyd in a Datsun 1600 with John Brann and Alan Hall second in a Datsun 280Z. Third were Keith Cuttle and Susan Brick in a VC Commodore.
With being in the first two placings for each of the three rounds to date, the winners took a strong lead in the VCRS.
