The Mirboo Meander, organised by the HRA, was held on 22 February. This was a club event for historic rally cars (based on the HRA’s criteria). The event was directed by Ron Verschuur.
23 cars started the event. First outright were Russell Thorpe & Steven Oake in a Volvo 142S. Doug Fernie and Robin Smalley were second in a Datsun 1600 with Rob Dyer and Dave Smith third in a Peugeot 404.
Notable in the Further Instructions is that the event would use the “new system of signage”, with a Red Clock board for start controls and a Red Chequered Flag board for finish controls.
